What is WIC?

WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for women, infants, and children up to age 5. WIC provides the following at no cost: healthy foods, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding support, and referrals for health care and community services.

It’s EASY to Use WIC?

EBT Card: WIC clients use an EBT card (like a debit card) to purchase WIC-approved foods at authorized WIC grocery stores. Benefits are loaded onto your EBT Card monthly. Benefits do not roll over from month to month.
WIC Shopper App: Use a WIC Shopper App to keep track of your benefits and account balances. You can use the digital food list, scan UPCs to see if items are WIC approved or access recipes, tips, nutrition classes and more.
Log-on to the EBT Shopper Website to easily check your balance and list of benefits at ebtEDGE.com.
Call & Check Your Benefit Balance: Call toll free 1-844-892-3084 anytime 24/7 to get an update on your benefits.

How Do I Access My Benefits
  • Attend WIC Appointments.
You choose how you attend your appointments!! Choose from phone visits or in-person. The first visit usually takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete but subsequent visits generally last 15-20 minutes. Visits are generally done once every three months, but the frequency of visits can vary depending on a family’s nutrition risk.
  • Provide Necessary Documentation. WIC Staff will need proof of income for everyone living in the household, identification for you and your children applying for WIC and proof of where you live. Our WIC clinics can accept these documents securely via our on-line system, Teletask, so there is no need to come into the office.
